Once DGL has balanced your line layout, it is a great idea to check its performance. 

By running simulations, you can find new bottlenecks by checking the WIP’s state in real-time. 

This way, you can also identify possible inventory waste merely by looking at the simulation while taking a coffee. 

Furthermore, waiting waste can be easily detected by analyzing idle time at each stage of the process. 

Simulations are customizable and allow you to launch any configuration. 

Select your default WIPs or change some of them. Choose the preferred number of iterations, bearing in mind that larger iterations provide more reliable results. 

Also, simulations allow you to set an innovative feature that you won’t find in the market: sigma (σ). 

It is well known that operators do not work at a steady pace. Sigma is a statistical measurement of variability that allows you to launch more flexible, realistic simulations that will affect manual works within your process. 

The output provides important information, such as the number of cycles performed, parts per hour, working timeidle time, and a complete breakdown of the three phases of a process: filling, working and cleaning. 

And that’s not all. You will find the charts of the overall simulation, as well as each process stage and phase.
